About

Join us to watch and discuss Ghost in the Machine, a documentary film by Valerie Veatch. Ghost in the Machine exposes the historical and philosophical underpinnings of Artificial Intelligence, not as a neutral system of algorithms that suddenly came into existence, but as a technology shaped over many decades by eugenics, misogyny, and entrenched structures of power.

The film will be screened starting at 4pm. Discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m. Pizza and snacks will be available.

The film is currently streaming through PBS Independent Lens. If you wish to watch the film at home, you can join the discussion at 5:30 (Please register).
