Conchas and Convos

CA Alli Morales invites residents to come out to Conchas & Convos, a fun morning program where students can enjoy a concha, connect with their CA, and participate in a college themed "This or That" question. Residents will get to vote on whether they would rather never have an 8 AM class again or never have a final exam again. Votes will be counted using two jars, and CA Alli will add a bead to whichever jar residents choose. Residents will also be asked to message their assigned CA through Microsoft Teams to schedule their 20 minute intentional conversation. To get a concha, residents will need to show that they have sent their CA a message about scheduling their intentional. This program gives residents a chance to have some fun, share their opinions, and stay connected with their CAs while enjoying a sweet treat.

• Two clear jars

• Beads

• Printed "This or That" question

• Labels for jars

• Table decorations

Learning Domain: Oral and Written Communication

• Residents will practice written communication by sending their assigned CA a message through Microsoft Teams to schedule their intentional conversation.

• Residents will have the opportunity to share their opinions by participating in a college themed "This or That" question and voting for their preferred choice.

• Residents will learn the importance of staying in contact with their CA and taking the initiative to reach out when they need to communicate or schedule a meeting.
