About
Trans Day of Remembrance is a day to honor the transgender individuals whose lives were ended by transphobic hatred and violence over the past year. This year, hundreds of individuals around the world have been lost to transphobic bigotry, including 55 in the United States.
Please sign up here to help us cover Western's campus with their names using posters and (weather permitting) chalk to keep their memories alive and remind everyone how urgent it is to create a world in which transgender people can live without fear.
Participants can stop by the LBGT Student Services Lounge on the 20th to pick up materials and cover the campus together, or schedule an earlier time for pickup and work solo.
