About
Join Comité de Justicia Ambiental de la Frontera and the Inland Empire Labor & Community Center at UC Riverside (IELCC-UCR) for a binational conference bringing together scholars, advocates, organizers, and community members to examine environmental justice, immigrant rights, and Indigenous rights in the Mexico-US border region, with a focus on the California-Baja California region. Through panels and workshops, participants will explore research, advocacy strategies, and cross-border approaches to advancing justice and strengthening binational networks.
Featured speakers include Dr. Fernando Márquez Duarte (Comité de Justicia Ambiental de la Frontera), Dr. Juan De Lara (University of Southern California), Carlos Perea (Harbor Institute for Immigrant & Economic Justice), and other scholars and advocates from both sides of the border.
Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP for in-person attendance by November 6.
This event is co-sponsored by the UC Alianza MX Initiative and the UCR Department of Society, Environment, and Health Equity.
