About
The Sociology Club, in collaboration with the Business Society, invites students to join us for a fun and interactive event featuring the SPENT Game. In this simulation, players are challenged to make financial decisions while trying to get through a month on a limited income. The game highlights some of the challenges that individuals and families living in poverty may face, including budgeting, unexpected expenses, and difficult life choices.
After playing the game, we will have a group discussion about our experiences and what we learned about poverty, financial hardship, and the impact these issues can have on people's daily lives.
Following the discussion, participants will compete in a financial literacy trivia game. The student with the highest score will win a $25 Visa gift card. We will also provide food and refreshments for attendees.
This event is open to all students. Come learn something new, test your financial knowledge, and have a chance to win a prize!
