The mission of Synapse is to foster exploration of neuroscience by providing students with opportunities to become involved in the St. Louis community. We are dedicated to undergraduate students of all majors with an interest in neuroscience. (Neuroscience herein defined to include all sub-specialties including but not limited to: neurology, neurosurgery, psychology, and psychiatry.) ● Inform and educate members of volunteer, clinical, professional and research opportunities in neuroscience in the St. Louis area. ● Help to facilitate access for Washington University students to new and existing opportunities in neuroscience by means of transportation. ● ● Advocate for greater awareness of neurological disorders. Hold fundraisers for verified non-profit agencies with proceeds going directly to research, patient care, or awareness for neurological disorders ● Establish a sense of community within Washington University by celebrating Washington University’s historic touch in the field of neuroscience.
