About
SP2- I Taught Pixels to Heal Themselves
This session focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology, specifically Neural Cellular Automata (NCA). We'll explore how individual pixels can behave like cells, using neural networks and local interactions to create complex patterns. The main idea is to understand self-organization and emergent behavior, and how a digital organism can learn to grow and regenerate damaged parts without being explicitly programmed to repair each individual pixel.
SP2- How to make connect four impossible?
Connect Four is a solved game: with perfect play, the first player always wins. In this workshop we’ll build an AI that plays perfectly and can’t be beaten. We’ll start with how a computer “thinks” about a game using minimax search, then make it fast enough to look deep into the game with alpha-beta pruning, smart move ordering, and a compact board representation. By the end you’ll have a working opponent you can try (and fail) to beat, plus techniques that carry over to chess engines, game AI, and any turn-based game.
