About
Speaking up about concerns should never result in fear of retaliation. Join us for Retaliation 101, an introductory session designed to help participants understand what retaliation is, how it can occur, and why it is prohibited within the university community.
Participants will learn about common examples of retaliatory behavior, individual rights and responsibilities, reporting options, available protections, and resources for support. The session will also explore how retaliation may arise in response to reporting concerns, participating in investigations, requesting accommodations, or exercising protected rights in good faith. Participants will also learn how to distinguish between actions that may constitute retaliation and those that generally do not fall within the definition of retaliation under university policy or applicable law.
Whether you're a student, faculty member, or staff employee, this training will provide practical guidance for recognizing potential retaliation, understanding available protections, responding appropriately, and helping foster a campus culture grounded in integrity, accountability, and respect.
We hope to see you there. UTD Starts with YOU!
