About
Dear Academic Program Representatives,
The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the implementation of a new platform for annual learning outcomes assessment reporting: Strategic Planning Online (SPOL).
Beginning this reporting cycle, all academic programs will use SPOL to create and submit annual assessment reports. To ensure a smooth transition and provide hands-on support, we are offering five SPOL Assessment Open Laboratory Training Sessions designed specifically for academic program representatives.
Training Requirement
Because SPOL will now serve as the university's official assessment reporting system, all users responsible for entering or managing assessment reports are required to attend one of the training sessions listed below.
Session Dates
• Wednesday, September 30
• Friday, October 16
• Tuesday, October 27
• Thursday, November 12
• Tuesday, November 24
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Location: Library 204A
Each session will include a combination of group instruction and individualized support:
• 12:10 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Guided training and demonstration of the SPOL platform
• 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Open lab with one-on-one assistance
• 1:10 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Guided training and demonstration of additional SPOL features and reporting requirements
• 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Open lab with one-on-one assistance
Participants are encouraged to bring their most current curriculum map, as the training will include a hands-on activity focused on mapping learning outcomes to the academic program curriculum.
