About

Part of the Early Childhood Workforce Development program, in this training discover how play builds meaningful learning in early childhood! This engaging 60-minute training helps educators understand play-based learning, use intentional teaching strategies, design inviting environments, and move beyond worksheets and flashcards to support curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and whole-child development.

The Early Childhood Workforce Training is offered to early childhood providers for the purpose of meeting the annual Nevada State Early Childhood training requirements. Employees must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training annually to continue employment in a licensed childcare center or home care.

This training is just one of a variety of research-based training topics that are presented by the Workforce development team. All training courses are approved by the Nevada Registry.
