Seeds of Remembrance

Seeds of Remembrance is a gathering dedicated to honoring the Indigenous Garden at Belmont University and recognizing the enduring presence, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. As we gather in this sacred space of learning and growth, we acknowledge the Indigenous communities who have stewarded these lands for generations and reflect on our responsibility to cultivate respect, understanding, and meaningful relationships with one another and the earth.

Rooted in the understanding that the seeds we plant today shape the future we share, this event invites participants into a moment of remembrance, gratitude, and connection. Through prayer, reflection, and community, we honor the land, the Indigenous knowledge it carries, and the relatives who have come before us and those yet to come.
