About
Join us to support patients in the Iowa City community! During this hands-on service activity, we’ll fold origami hearts and other origami crafts for hospitals and hospices in Johnson County. Volunteering and creating these crafts is not just beneficial for patients, but also for yourself! It is a fun activity that can also help relieve stress. Our origami crafts represent encouragement and well-wishes, and each one we fold carries a message of compassion to a patient who may be facing a difficult hospital stay.
No prior experience with origami is needed—step-by-step instructions will be provided, and all supplies will be available. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or trying origami for the first time, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, give back to the community, and make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.
Come spend time creating, connecting, and spreading hope—one craft at a time
