About
Lead with Gratitude will be centered around an evening leadership panel featuring 3–4 prominent University of Florida student leaders who will share personal experiences of mentorship, service, leadership, and giving back. Rather than a traditional lecture, the event will use a moderated panel and guided reflection to encourage students to connect the speakers' experiences to their own leadership journeys. The initiative aims to foster a culture of leadership in which service and gratitude are viewed as integral parts of being a student leader. Each director in the Leadership Development Division will have a table set up in the room revolving around their cabinet's mission. The student government engagement director will start off with checking in attendees and giving them a Leadership Bingo card. The Leadership development director will have a thanksgiving themed activity where participants can identify leadership values they hope to build and grow, and will identify during the panel. The Community and service table will have stationary to write thank you cards to custodians, bus drivers, and community members on our campus to thank them for their services and for supporting our campus. Career development will have a networking table, which along with the bingo card will encourage leaders to make name tags, meet new peers, and learn about intentional networking. Finally, the emerging technology director and assistant directors will give advice on leadership experience and responsible use of AI. The interactive table portion of the event will go from 4:15 to 4:45 pm, and then transition to the leadership panel from 4:45-5:30pm.
